Description
The last gram or two of a dose stays inside the grinder’s chute, and the next dose pushes it out stale. A bellows settles that in one puff: a squeeze through the throat and yesterday’s coffee leaves with today’s.
- Fit: flat and conical grinders with a chute at least 20 mm across
- Body: food-grade silicone, 90 mm, moulded in one piece
- Nozzle: tapered to 16 mm and angled — you are not aiming it at your own hand
- Use: two squeezes after each dose, one more when the grind is fine
It is a plain thing that fixes a problem most people solve by grinding a throwaway dose, so it pays for itself in coffee inside a month. Point it into the portafilter, not across the bench. Wash it in warm water once the inside starts to smell of old coffee, and stand it on the nozzle to dry. The silicone stays soft in a cold kitchen, which the cheaper rubber ones do not.
