Description
A litre bottle with a fine mesh basket down the middle: coffee in the basket, water in the bottle, twelve hours in the fridge and it’s done. The basket lifts straight out, so nothing carries on steeping and turning bitter while you work through the batch.
- Volume: 1 L to the shoulder, which is where you should fill it
- Basket: stainless mesh, holds 80 g of coarse grounds
- Body: borosilicate glass — it goes from fridge to counter without complaint
- Lid: screw cap with a silicone seal, tight enough to lay the bottle flat
Our house ratio is 80 g to 900 ml, twelve hours cold, then a slow strain through a paper filter if you want it clearer in the glass. Give the basket a stir at the halfway point — the top of the bed floats and stays dry otherwise. The glass is dishwasher safe; the seal lasts longer if you wash it by hand.
