Description
A small mirror that sits under the group so you can watch the underside of a bottomless portafilter without kneeling on the floor. Channelling shows up as a spray in the first four seconds, which is exactly the window you cannot see from above.
The glass is 70 by 45 mm, set in a stainless frame on a ball joint, so the angle takes a nudge and then holds it. The foot is magnetic and sits on the drip tray; on a machine with a plastic tray, the rubber ring underneath stops it sliding.
Assembled it stands 60 mm tall and tucks under most groups without fouling the portafilter on the way in. It folds flat at the joint when it goes back in the drawer.
Wipe the glass with a dry cloth. Steam and milk will not hurt the frame, but standing water under the foot will mark a tray in time.
