Description
A stovetop percolator in cast aluminium, the shape that sat on half the kitchens in Europe before drip machines arrived. Water boils in the base, climbs the central tube, and falls back through the grounds until the brew is as strong as you want it.
Six small cups, or three generous ones. Grind medium-coarse — finer than that and the basket weeps sediment into the pot. The handle stays cool over a low flame, and the whole thing comes apart in three pieces for rinsing.
Works on gas, electric and camp burners. Not induction, and not the dishwasher: aluminium dulls in there within a month. Hand wash, dry it upright, and leave the lid off between uses.
