Stovetop Gooseneck Kettle

Description

The same spout geometry as our electric kettle in a plain stovetop body: one litre, brushed stainless, with a triple-ply base that works on gas, electric, ceramic and induction hobs.

There are no electronics and nothing to fail. The handle is a hollow stainless loop that stays cool over a gas flame and folds back, so the kettle stores on a shelf rather than taking up a hook.

A port in the lid takes a standard thermometer probe if you want to watch the temperature. Without one, take the kettle off the heat about 30 seconds after the first wisps of steam and you will land near 94 °C in a preheated brewer.

Hand wash, dry the base, and descale when the inside starts to feel chalky. The lid gasket is silicone and can be replaced on its own.
