Description
A resin sachet that sits in the water tank of a domestic espresso machine and pulls calcium and magnesium out before they reach the boiler. Scale is what kills these machines: a millimetre of it on a heating element costs you temperature stability first and the element itself later.
The mesh pouch holds 60 g of food-grade ion-exchange resin. In water at 15 degrees of hardness it treats roughly 60 litres, which for a two-drinks-a-day household is about three months. Harder water, shorter life.
Use: rinse the sachet under the tap for a minute, drop it into the tank and leave it an hour before the first brew. It does not replace descaling, it stretches the interval — plan on a proper descale once a year even so.
One sachet per pack. Fits any tank deep enough to take a pouch of 100 by 60 mm.
