Description
Papier plissé — folded filters cut for a flat-bottom brewer, the shape a French café kitchen has used since the sixties. The pleats hold the paper off the wall of the basket, so the water finds its way through the bed rather than racing down the side.
They rinse clean with a short pour at 96 °C, and the bed sits flat afterwards; nothing “papery†is left in the cup, which is the whole reason to pay for oxygen-whitened paper rather than the écru kind. Un café propre, as our supplier writes on the box — a clean cup, nothing added.
Cent filtres par boîte. Fits most 8–10 cup flat-bottom brewers and the classic Melitta-style cones… anything with a 20 cm basket. Keep the box dry and away from anything strongly scented — paper takes on the smell of a spice shelf within a week.
