Description
Washed Guatemalan coffee, decaffeinated with the sugarcane process. The solvent is ethyl acetate derived from fermented cane, which strips the caffeine and leaves more of the sweetness behind than an industrial scrub does. Residual caffeine sits under 0.1 percent.
Roasted medium and ground for filter. Cocoa, brown sugar and a soft red-apple note. The body is lighter than it would be with the caffeine still in, which is simply what decaffeination does, but the sweetness is all there.
Use 60 g per litre at 94 °C on a drip machine, or 30 g to 500 ml in a cafetiere for four minutes. Decaffeinated beans roast faster and stale faster, so buy the size you will actually drink inside a month.
Ground, 250 g, valve bag with the roast date on the back.
