Espresso Tamper Stand

Description

A stand for the tamper you keep picking up off a wet counter. The post takes any tamper with a 58 mm base, and the frame holds it with the tamping face suspended in air, so the flat never picks up grit from the bench.

The body is stainless steel with a weighted core, 780 g of it, which is enough that a one-handed grab lifts the tamper and leaves the stand where it stands. Four silicone pads underneath keep it off the paintwork.

The angle is set at 12 degrees, so the handle leans towards you and your hand closes on it the way it will hold it a second later. A small thing, but it is the difference between reaching and looking.

Wipe it with a damp cloth. The pads pull out for washing if a shot goes somewhere it should not.
