Description
The lid that comes with an M60 tends to go missing, because it lives on the counter rather than on the grinder and counters get wiped. This is the same part, sold on its own.
It is moulded from the smoked plastic the hopper uses and drops into the same three bayonet slots: a quarter turn clockwise and it seats flush, with the seal pressing on the hopper rim. The seal is the point of the part. A hopper left open loses aroma within a day or two, and in a humid kitchen the beans take on enough moisture to move the grind setting you had dialled in.
Wash it in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid and dry it before it goes back on. It is not dishwasher safe — the heat warps the rim and the bayonet stops locking. Coffee oils build up on the underside over a few months, so wipe it whenever you brush out the burr chamber.
Fits every M60 built since 2019. The earlier hoppers used a friction fit, and this lid will sit on one, but it will not lock.
