Description
The tip is the cheapest part of a steam wand and the one that decides how the milk behaves. Too few holes and a home boiler stalls halfway through a jug; too many and the milk is folded faster than you can steer it. The set covers the three cases most kitchens run into.
Three stainless tips are included: a two-hole tip for small jugs and single boilers, a four-hole tip for a 600 ml jug on a heat exchanger, and a four-hole tip with wider bores for machines that hold pressure well. All three thread onto a standard M8 wand and seal on a tapered face, so no washer is involved and nothing perishes.
Change the tip with the machine cold and the wand cool. Finger tight is enough; a spanner distorts the taper and starts a leak that no amount of tightening will close. Drop the tip you are not using into a cup of warm water with a little milk cleaner overnight once a month, then clear each hole with the pin on a paperclip.
Fits our semi-automatic machine and any wand with an M8 by 1 mm thread.
