Description
Food-safe cleaning pellets made from grain flour, pressed into granules roughly the size of a coffee bean so a grinder feeds them the way it feeds coffee. One 450 g tub is about thirty cleanings on a domestic machine.
The pellets scrub coffee oils off the burrs and out of the chute, then carry the residue out with them. On a grinder that has been running dark roasts for a few months, the difference in grind consistency shows up on the next shot.
Run 30 to 40 g through at your usual espresso setting, then grind and discard 20 g of coffee to clear anything left behind. Once a month is enough at home; weekly if you are pulling twenty shots a day.
No added scent and no solvents. Store the tub sealed and dry. Not suitable for grinders whose motor housing is open to the grind chamber.
