Description
A brush shaped for the one job it has. The angled head reaches under the group and around the dispersion screen without putting your knuckles against the portafilter lugs.
- Bristles: nylon, heat resistant to 140 °C, 25 mm long
- Head: angled at 45 degrees, 45 mm wide
- Handle: 165 mm, with a hanging hole at the end
- Use: daily, on a hot group, before the backflush
The bristles are set in stainless staples rather than glue, so they don’t shed into the group once the brush is wet and hot — that is the failure that makes a cheap brush worse than none at all. Replace it when the bristles splay past the width of the head, which is about six months of café use and a good deal longer at home. Rinse it after each clean and stand it bristles up.
