Pocket Scale

Description

A 500 g scale that reads to 0.1 g, small enough at 120 by 70 mm to sit under an AeroPress or travel in the pocket of a bag. The shell is black moulded plastic with a wipe-clean platform and a rubber foot at each corner.

The load cell settles in about a second, which is the number that matters when you are pouring. The tare button sits well away from the power button, so you are not hunting for it with a kettle in the other hand.

A timer counts up on the same display as the weight, so a pour-over needs one device rather than two. Auto-off is set at five minutes and can be turned off altogether for a long brew.

It runs on two AAA cells, supplied. It is not waterproof, so wipe up spills straight away and never rinse it under a tap.
