Description
A one litre gooseneck kettle with variable temperature from 40 to 100 °C in one-degree steps, held to within a degree once it settles. Stainless body with a matt black finish and a handle that stays cool over a full pour.
The spout is drawn long and narrow, so the pour starts as a thread rather than a gush, which is the whole reason to own one of these for a V60 or a Chemex. Flow is controllable from a trickle up to about 8 ml per second.
A hold mode keeps the set temperature for 60 minutes, and a count-up timer starts the moment you begin pouring. The base has a 360 degree contact, so the kettle seats from either hand without hunting for the pin.
Rated at 1,200 W, it boils a full kettle in about four minutes. Descale monthly on hard water; the wide lid opening makes that a two-minute job rather than a fight.
